Dr. S. Christopher – Former Chairman of DRDO

Dr. S. Christopher is the former Chairman of DRDO. He is known as the man behind the indigenous Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) system. Prior to DRDO, he was Programme Director for the prestigious AEW&C system and Director of Centre for Air-Borne Systems (CABS) – the laboratory vested with the responsibility of design, development of AEW&C system. The AEW&C programme is one of the flagship programmes of DRDO for the design and development of indigenous AWACS. With this development, India has joined the elite group of four countries and created export potential.

Dr. P Sivakumar – Former Director of Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishment (CVRDE) Avadi, Tamil Nadu.

Dr. P Sivakumar is the former Director of Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishment (CVRDE) Avadi, Tamil Nadu. He has worked for more than two decades in the design and development of transmission systems for tracked and wheeled vehicles application. He was involved in the development of various products for the Indian defence industry including the Carrier Command Post Tracked Vehicle – Arjun MBT Mark-II. He has been awarded with the ‘Scientist of the Year Award 2010’ by DRDO for his active role in the management of the Arjun MBT project.
